We saw a gap — and we decided to fill it.
Two Westwood moms who decided to do something about it.
Jenn and Kate found their way to each other the way a lot of Westwood parents do — through their kids. What they discovered they had in common, beyond friendship, was a shared frustration: after-school care in Westwood was harder to find than it should be. Working families were being left to piece together coverage on their own, and the options that existed didn't feel like enough.
So they decided to build something better. Jenn brought two decades of experience running after-school programs. Kate brought a sharp operational mind and the perspective of a working parent who needed exactly this kind of solution. Together — with the support of First Parish Church, who opened their doors when they heard the community needed it — they turned an idea into a real place.
From the beginning, Westwood Enrichment Hub has been shaped by the community it serves. Every program, every hire, and every detail of our space reflects what local parents told us they needed — and what kids told us, loudly and enthusiastically, they loved.

Enrichment that goes beyond keeping kids busy.
There's a difference between childcare and enrichment — and that distinction shapes everything we do at Westwood Enrichment Hub. We designed our programs around the whole child: their curiosity, their creativity, their social development, and their need to just have fun after a long school day.
Our educators aren't babysitters. They're specialists in art, STEM, movement, literacy, and more — people who genuinely love what they teach and know how to make learning feel like play. Every session is purposefully designed, but flexible enough to follow the energy of the kids in the room.
We also believe deeply in the power of continuity. When kids come back to the same faces, the same community, and the same sense of belonging every week, they thrive. That consistency is something we protect fiercely.
