Built by parents,
for this community.
We saw a gap — and we decided to fill it.
Two Westwood moms who decided to do something about it.
Jenn and Kate had both been searching for the same thing: a consistent, nurturing place where their kids could keep learning, creating, and connecting after the school bell rang. What they found instead were waitlists, inconsistent programs, and options that didn't feel like a fit for Westwood families.
So in the way that the best community ideas start — over coffee, with a shared frustration and a bigger shared vision — they decided to build it themselves. Westwood Enrichment Hub was born not from a business plan, but from a genuine belief that Westwood kids deserved something better.
From the beginning, WEH has been shaped by the community it serves. Every program, every hire, and every detail of our space reflects what local parents told us they needed — and what kids told us, loudly and enthusiastically, they loved.
"I’ve been so happy with all of the amazing activities offered at the hub. I know that all of the teachers work to keep the kids happy and engaged and I love that there are many activity options. I feel so confident about the program and it brings huge comfort to a mom knowing you two are running it!"— Current Hub Parent
Enrichment that goes beyond keeping kids busy.
There's a difference between childcare and enrichment — and that distinction shapes everything we do at WEH. We designed our programs around the whole child: their curiosity, their creativity, their social development, and their need to just have fun after a long school day.
Our educators aren't babysitters. They're specialists in art, STEM, movement, literacy, and more — people who genuinely love what they teach and know how to make learning feel like play. Every session is purposefully designed, but flexible enough to follow the energy of the kids in the room.
We also believe deeply in the power of continuity. When kids come back to the same faces, the same community, and the same sense of belonging every week, they thrive. That consistency is something we protect fiercely.
"The kids are always doing structured activities. There is no boredom or sitting around at the hub. It's organized, fun and my daughter always comes home happy."— Current Hub Parent
Our Values
Safe & Supportive
Every child deserves a space where they feel secure, seen, and free to be themselves. Safety — physical and emotional — is our first priority, always.
Curiosity-Led
We follow kids' interests, ask big questions, and design experiences that spark wonder. Learning happens naturally when children are genuinely engaged.
Community First
WEH was built by this community and for it. We prioritize relationships, local connection, and the kind of belonging that makes Westwood special.
Holistic Development
We nurture the whole child — creative, intellectual, social, and physical. Our programs are designed to develop well-rounded, confident kids.
Family Partnership
Parents are our partners, not just customers. We communicate openly, listen actively, and build programs around what Westwood families truly need.
Joy in Every Day
After-school should feel like the best part of the day. We bring energy, humor, and genuine enthusiasm to everything we do — because happy kids learn better.
Mission & Vision
Enriching childhood, one afternoon at a time.
Westwood Enrichment Hub provides K–5 students with a safe, engaging, and nurturing after-school environment that supports their growth as curious learners, confident individuals, and kind community members. Through purposefully designed programs and caring educators, we make every afternoon count.
A community where every child has a place to flourish.
We envision a Westwood where every family has access to high-quality, joyful enrichment that fits their lives — and where the after-school hours are a time children look forward to, not just get through. We're building that community, one program at a time.
